Gradually add 2 cups powdered sugar, beating well. Slowly beat in 6 tablespoons total: mocha syrup, coffee liqueur, and Irish cream liqueur.* Beat in 2 tablespoons vanilla. Gradually add 6 cups powdered sugar, beating until smooth and of spreading consistency.Note: Strong brewed coffee may be substituted for the liqueurs. Sharing is caring! Cream Caramel Cake. This dense, moist cake gets its caramel color and taste from the sugar and liqueurs used to flavor both the cake and frosting. Buttermilk gives the batter a bit of tartness and it helps activate the leavening.Other than the baking and cooling time, this is fairly efficient cake to make, since the batter is ready in only 30 minutes. But as with any other endeavor, practice makes perfect, so you’ll probably want to make this cake a few times to make sure you have everything down.Ingredients:1 cup butter5 eggs, separated1 cup buttermilk3 cups sifted cake flour1 tsp. baking powder1 tsp. baking soda1/8 tsp. salt2-1/2 cups sugar5 Tbsp. total mocha syrup, coffee liqueur, and Irish cream liqueur*2 tsp. vanilla extract1 recipe Irish Cream Frosting 38 Views   no discussions Tweetcenter_img Share Share Food & DiningLifestyle Cream Caramel Cake. by: – August 13, 2011 Recipe source: Better Homes and Gardenslast_img read more
