The 66-year-old had died in a tragic accident at the Park Street Metro station in July this year. He had boarded a crowded coach and was dragged a few hundred metres with his right hand fingers wedged between the coaches. While Kanjilal’s family members demanded that the Metro officials should provide a job as compensation, the Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) conducted a thorough investigation.
