Colorado’s own Magic Beans have announced the initial artists for their seventh-annual Beanstalk Music & Mountains Festival at Bond, Colorado’s Rancho Del Rio, set to take place on June 27th–29th, 2019.Magic Beans will play three shows throughout the weekend’s festivities, along with a headlining performance from Ghost-Note, the musical brainchild of multi-Grammy Award-winning artists Robert “Sput” Searight and Nate Werth. The seven-piece ensemble is comprised of Dywane “MonoNeon” Thomas Jr. (bass), Xavier Taplin(keys), Vaughn “V-Keys” Henry (keys), Peter Knudsen (guitar), and Jonathan Mones (alto sax & flute) alongside Snarky Puppy cohorts Werth and Sput.Beanstalk staples lespecial and Yak Attack round out the current initial artist announcement, after having both made huge moves in the last year. Both bands will be performing late-night sets, as well as a special set from Yak Attack. Last year, the Oregon-based live electronic trio treated fans to a late-night pop-up set on Saturday night following Magic Beans’ grand finale festival-closing set, so expect something extra-special from the Jedi musicians. Yak Attack drummer Nick Werth is the younger brother of Ghost-Note leader Nate Werth, presenting a nice opportunity for the brothers to potentially share some stage time. The remainder of Beanstalk Music Festival’s 2019 lineup will be announced onstage this weekend at Magic Beans’ 2nd-annual Snowstalk Festival, taking place at Frisco, CO’s newly opened 10 Mile High Music Hall on Friday, February 8th and Saturday, February, 9th.
