The bill would delay the National Credit Union Administration’s risk-based capital proposal until a study of its impact is conducted.CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle has said the proposal is a “solution in search of a problem.” Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas), the committee chair, used the same words, saying “so many are concerned the NCUA’s proposal is a solution in search of a problem” in his opening statement. The bill’s sponsor, Rep. Stephen Fincher (R-Tenn.), said the bill is not an attempt to get rid of the NCUA’s proposal, just a chance to get more information. continue reading »last_img read more

Share Development of white warts associated with HPV A retired nurse has spoken out in an attempt to educate and warn the public on the risks involved in engaging in oral sex.During a local talk show on Thursday, retired nurse Justina James said persons may believe that oral sex is a better option to actual sex, but the consequences one is made to bear after such an activity does not merit that “sort” of involvement. She said oral sex can lead to genital human papillomavirus, or HPV, which is one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases.HPV infects the genital areas of males and females and can also infect the mouth and throat. However, research indicates that most people who become infected with HPV do not even know that they have it.Nurse James said HPV does not only affect women but men as well.“The men believe the women are the ones who suffer the consequences but the men do as well because HPV can be carried by the man under the foreskin and that is where the virus is being harbored”.She warned that any man who is infected with the virus and engages in “virginal sex” will transmit that virus to the woman. Also, if that woman then engages in oral sex with a man, that man is also at “risk”.“Any woman who has HPV and is involved with other men at some point many more women will develop that problem,” James noted. She said HPV is a gateway to cancer of the cervix and she is of the view that the best way “out” is to “cease” from the practice of oral sex.“Quite a few men are infected with HPV and they are not aware of it and I think we should break that cycle, if proper sexual practices are being upheld. Men have to take care of themselves and don’t wait for a woman to get tested for you to know if you carrying the virus”.Dominica Vibes Newslast_img read more
