However, Stranger Things fans recently decoded a secret phone message via Harbour’s Instagram account, and it might be telling another story.During the Stranger Things season finale, Hopper sacrificed himself to seal the gate between the real world and the Upside Down, IndieWire reported. Hopper’s death was questioned though during a post-credits scene, which was set in Russia and revealed that an imprisoned American was residing in a jail cell there. Since the Stranger Things Season 3 premiere on July 4, Harbour kept changing his Instagram profile picture with a series of numbers, and when they were put together, they showed a phone number: 618-625-8313. Those who called the number received a message from Murray Bauman, a private investigator in the series portrayed by Brett Gelman.“Hi, you have reached the residence of Murray Bauman,” the message says, according to “Mom, if this is you, please hang up and call me between the hours of 5 and 6 p.m. as previously discussed, OK? If this is Joyce [Byers], Joyce [Byers], thank you for calling, I have been trying to reach ya. I have an update. It’s about, well, it’s probably best if we speak in person.
